Chris grew up in the London during the 'Blues Boom' of the late 60s; he formed his first pro band with Lou Martin and 'Mac' MacDonald from Killing Floor, who were touring with Freddy King. The next band 'Smooth Loser' with Danny Adler and Jeff Pasternak gained a hot reputation for Cincinnatti grooves and played with Roland Kirk at the Roundhouse. Chris then moved to the USA, honing his skills in orchestration and was in demand on his return to the UK by visiting US acts for his authentic style. He later studied Indian Classical music and the Celtic / Roots tradition whose influences are clear in his Blues On The Road Album.(Check out the Serpent Solo )
His skills as a studio blues guitarist and writer are well known and has recorded with some of the most acclaimed producers in the business, lending his instrumental skills to Hollywood sountracks such as Choke, starring Dennis Hopper
